Wonderland

I always liked to live in my cozy cocoon without TV, 
bad news in newspaper, angry people, rotten milk, rainy days, and serious decisions.
Yes, I'm a dreamer. Yet romantic and optimistic. 
And in special occasions realistic. I know that it's tough out there, 
but I would wish that everybody could make their magical world, 
safe from harm and rainy days. 

If you're not a professional dreamer, I will gladly help you by showing a fantasy.

• ✿ Kirsty Mitchell's mother Maureen was an English teacher who spent her life inspiring generations of      children with imaginative stories and plays.
• ✿ Following Maureen's death from a brain tumour in 2008, Kirsty channelled her grief into her passion for photography.
• ✿ Kirsty Mitchell's Wonderland series has been three years in the making.
• ✿ All costumes, wigs and sets were constructed on a shoestring budget.
• ✿ Some images took up to five months to create.
• ✿ She would often wait an entire year to find the perfect natural setting for her shots.
